About us.....The Moxie Woman
Moxie means fortitude, determination, energy and know-how. Those of us born between 1944 and 1964 have moxie in spades.
We represent a true inflection point in history; women will never be the same as a result. We came of age during the radical 1960s and ‘70s. We have had choices, made decisions and experienced things our mothers only dreamed of. It cannot be overstated how dramatically life has changed for, and been changed by, our generation of women.
We are the healthiest, wealthiest, most active, independent, educated and influential generation of women in history. We are working longer, earning more and have the time, energy and money to spend on ourselves again. We control 80% of all household spending.
We are in the prime of our lives, savvy from experience and able to handle what life throws at us; young enough in spirit to embrace life and tackle challenges in ways younger women don’t or can’t.
We are change agents!

Because we want to talk about the things that interest us, without the ‘youthful fluff’, and to discuss relevant issues honestly and with candour.
Who am I?
Hello, my name is Pauline
I’m a Baby Boomer, Primetime Moxie woman!
About four years ago the idea came to me to design a website dedicated to presenting articles and encouraging discussions of interest to New Zealand’s women of a ‘certain age’.
This has not been without its’ challenges, but with the fortitude women our age are renowned for, I pressed ahead.
My credentials? Absolutely none in this area, but I would never let a lack of skills get in the way of my passion for a great idea. It’s never too late to learn and up-skill.
So here you have it…. a site I hope you will find interesting, challenging and entertaining.
